Getting started

When you open the app, the clock appears in the top-right corner of your screen and a clock icon appears in the menu bar. There is no Dock icon and no main window; everything is in that menu.

Common questions

I turned on click-through and now the clock ignores me

That is what click-through does: clicks pass through to the window underneath. To turn it off, click the clock icon in the menu bar and choose Click-Through again. The menu bar always works, even when the clock does not respond.

How do I add a city?

Open Preferences ▸ World Clocks, type a city or region in the search box, and click it in the list. You can rename it afterwards and show up to six. This is a Pro feature.

How do I start a timer?

From the menu, choose Start Timer and pick a length, from 1 minute to 1 hour. With Pro you can also enter a custom length like 20, 1:30 or 1:05:00, and run up to five timers at once. When a timer ends, you get a sound, a notification, and "Time's up!" on the clock until you dismiss it.

How does Pomodoro work?

Choose Start Pomodoro. The app alternates focus sessions and breaks on its own, and tells you at every change. You can set the durations in Preferences ▸ Pomodoro. This is a Pro feature.

I bought Pro but it is locked on my other Mac

Open the menu, choose Upgrade to Pro… and click Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Pro is a one-time purchase and works on the Macs of that account, and with Family Sharing.

Does the clock hide during video calls?

With Pro you can turn on Hide While Screen Sharing, which asks macOS to leave the clock out of screen sharing and screenshots. Most apps respect this, but macOS cannot guarantee it for every screen-capture app, so test it with the app you use before an important call.

The clock disappeared

Three things to check: whether Hide over full-screen apps is on and you are in a full-screen app; whether the opacity is set very low in Preferences ▸ General; or whether the clock ended up on a screen that is now disconnected. In that last case, quit and open the app again, and it returns to the top-right corner.

Which macOS do I need?

macOS 14 Sonoma or later.

Does it collect any data?

No. Nothing is collected or sent anywhere. See the privacy policy.
