12 Simple Desktop Clock

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 September 2026. Applies to Simple Desktop Clock for macOS.

Simple Desktop Clock does not collect, store or transmit any personal data.

What the app stores

Your preferences — font, size, color, opacity, time format, window position, world clocks and timer settings — are saved only on your own Mac, through the standard macOS preferences system. They never leave your computer, and I have no way to see them.

What the app does not do

Purchases

The Pro upgrade is sold through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the entire transaction. The app only asks macOS whether this Apple Account owns the upgrade, and receives a yes or a no. Your name, email address and payment details are never sent to the app or to me. Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Network use

The app makes no network requests of its own. macOS contacts the App Store on its behalf when you buy or restore the Pro upgrade, and that is the only network activity involved.

Notifications

If you start a timer, the app asks permission to show notifications so it can tell you when time is up. The notification is created and shown on your Mac. You can turn it off in System Settings ▸ Notifications, and timers keep working.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy
