The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
https://www.franklincovey.com/the-7-habits/tI never thought this book was going to be so good. I had heard about it a lot and thought it was one of those books that people talked about and you think its content is obvious and it's one of those books that authors promote to get rich. I decided to read it after listening about it in a podcast interview to a CEO of a big company (can't remember which now). This CEO was telling how this book changed his life, so I decided to give it a try.
I think applying the 7 habits is no easy task, but all I need is to remember the few of them that I think will help me most in my daily life.
The 7 habits are:
- Be proactive
- Begin with the end in mind.
- Put first things first.
- Think win-win.
- Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood.
- Synergize
- Sharpen the Saw
This is a book you have to read at least twice and pray that you can apply the habits when you need them.

I alwals postponed reading it until I finally did. This is a most read for all and also a book you must come back to from time to time to remember what it suggests.
Hello, Startup
https://www.hello-startup.netI am enjoying reading this book, I think it summarizes quite well what you have to do to run a company, no matter its size or age. Things to remember from this book:
1. “Speed Wins”. In today's economy speed is almost everything. I've always thought that everything most be done fast; if you can't do it fast, be ready to loose.
2. In designing something, never miss these ideas:
-
Your first draft will be awful, but the only way to come up with a good design, and the only way to become a good designer, is to keep iterating.
-
To get better at design, you need to try to consciously understand why a particular design does or doesn’t work for you.
-
The goal of design is to communicate with the user, means that while looking pretty is a valuable aspect of design, it’s even more important to recognize that design is about helping people achieve their goals. Therefore, every design needs to start with an understanding of the user.
3. Always ask why? Sometimes the root of the problem is not so obvious.
4. “Studies show that taking a brief walk can significantly improve creativity [Oppezzo and Schwartz 2014].”
