Part 107 CoachPrivacy Policy
This policy explains how the Part 107 Coach app ("the app"), developed by Jose Siman, handles information.
Study progress
Your answers, flashcard schedule, bookmarks, and exam results are stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, Apple syncs them through your private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices. The developer cannot access that data. You can erase it at any time in the app under Settings → Reset All Progress.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. The app receives only the information needed to unlock Pro features; it never sees your name, Apple Account, or payment details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
Live weather
When you request a live METAR or TAF, the app sends the airport identifier you enter (for example, KDEN) to aviationweather.gov, a U.S. government service operated by NOAA, to fetch the report. The app adds no account identifiers or study data. Like any website, that service receives standard technical information such as your IP address, which its own privacy policy governs.
AI explanations
"Explain This" runs entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence. Questions and answers are not sent to the developer or any third-party server.
Notifications and widgets
Study reminders and certificate reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Widgets read a small summary of your progress (such as days until your exam and your readiness score) stored on your device.
Links to other websites
The app links to FAA and other government websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and in the app, with a new effective date.
